This is a truly wonderful Suisse made coffee maker- by its looks we date it to the early 1950's? As you can see in the images this coffee maker is in immaculate condition for its age. The external chrome is truly wonderful and the machine is complete with all it's internal parts.
We have not tested this machine because it does not have a power cord, inside it looks good and should work fine. However it must be checked by an electrician before it is used.
The internal filters are good - showing signs of some use- with a clean they should come up very well. The seals will probably need replacing if the machine is to be used.
One striking feature of this very Art Deco design is just how much this machine looks like a Dalek from Doctor Who (nasty alien cyborgs from a popular Brtitish Sci-Fi series). In fact when I look at it I am sure that the original Daleks were indeed modeled of this rare and unusual coffee maker. Whatever the case it is a super piece of industrial styling and is made to a very high standard. The inner filter and screens are made of brass, the external parts are chromed steel and bakelite. Overall the impression is definately Art-Deco/mid-century modern. Fantastic and very rare collectible coffee maker.
