This coffee maker has a wonderful feel of quality: the body is chromed steel with bakelite fixtures. The filter basket and screens are brass. There is a small tap on the neck between the boiler and coffee filter- it seems to have a wood handle and is superbly finished. This little trap would allow the user to control the brew pressure somewhat and should improve the functionality of the design. The condition of this coffee maker is very good considering its age. The coffee maker is complete and there is no damage. There is a dent at one edge of the power socket and some other small marks etc. But as you can see in the images the overall condition is very fine. The seals actually look OK, we have not tested this machine and suggest it is checked by an electrician before it is used. A perfect piece for the collector or display- extremely rare model- made in France around 1955?
