Here is a stunning MINT condition vintage atomic coffee machine from the private Ikon Exports collection. This machine is an Italian made Atomic imported into Australia by the Bon Trading Co. It probably dates from the mid to late 1970's when the painted machines were produced for the USA and Australian markets. Today painted atomics like this are not available new and as such are far less common that than the polished alloy atomic.
As you can see in the images the painted orange/brown surface on this machine is in very fine new-like condition. The paintwork is complete with virtually no wear- there are a few tiny marks here and there, nothing significant and overall we rate it as excellent plus. The Bon Trading ATOMIC label is complete with no marks and as such very rare. The jug and portafilter handle are in superb shape- very shiny- the Bakelite parts are fine- with no burns or cracks. It is very rare to see one of these painted machines in such MINT condition- the painted surface is more delicate than the traditional polished alloy.
This machine has been cleaned and prepared for use. It comes with a brand new food grade silicon seal in the head, original filter plate (held in place by new brass screws which won't rust like the original steel ones) and a brand new Sorrentina TM brand genuine Bakelite water/safety valve knob (identical to the orginal except for improved silicon seals and safety valve). The steam washers have been checked and lightly oiled, they are in perfect condition. The original alloy star patter filter baskets are included.
