This is a lovely old coffee syphon. It is large capacity at around 6 cups. As you can see it is in superb condition. The seal is natural rubber and in fine shape. We tested this syphon and it works perfectly. This syphon can be used directly on your gas stove-top. It features an ingenious glass filter 'rod'. Some people claim that this type of coffee syphon is one of the finest coffee makers possible in that the coffee only comes into contact with water and glass- no steel, cloth, etc. In use a medium to coarse grind of coffee works best with this type of filter. The heat resistant pyrex type glass is in good order and the genuine Bakelite lid and jug handle are in perfect condition with no damage.
