This is such a superb looking Italian made Burr Grinder. "Quick Mill" is a well known Italian brand- they still make domestic appliances- including espresso machines. In the 60's and 70's they produced a stunning range of pastel coloured appliances. This machine harks from a time where domestic appliance were not only functional and made to last- they were also beautiful.
This grinder probably dates from the 70's (maybe 60's?). It is a burr grinder with click stop adjustments. The grinder is tested and works well. As you can see in the iamages it is in very fine condition for its age: the chrome is bright, there are few mars- the machine is very clean and looks almost like new. Rare in this fine condition. The burrs are in good order and the motor runs smoothly.
This grinder is on an entry level compared to modern Burr grinders. However it is miles ahead of the competition in term of sheer class and elegance- and grinds very well. It has a wonderful 1950's pop aesthetic and would look very fine in any Mid Century styled kitchen.
Not quite as smooth or precise as the top of the range models- never the less it works a lot better than many of the plastic entry level grinders sold today. The motor runs smoothly and it can grind from very coarse to very fine. Nothing will improve the quality of your daily coffee more than freshly ground beans: this grinder would make a perfect compliment to the La Sorrentina Atomic machine.
This is a 240 volt Italian model. It is fitted with an Italian style plug. An Australian plug can easily be fitted by any electrician- or a simple adapter will suffice.
This coffee grinder is vintage and has been used in the past: suitable for the collector- or lover of fine design.
