 Here is a great little 49mm tamper. The base is made of polished aluminum and the handle is lathe turned natural wood. The light toned wood has different grain marks on each tamper so what you get may look slightly different than those pictured here. The base is solid and the tamper weighs 106 grams. These tampers are simple but very well made, attractive and eminently functional.

The flat sided base is 49mm and suitable for pre-millenium La Pavoni lever machines. It is also a good fit for Olympia Cremina 67 baskets- not quite as tight as with pavoni but within tolerances. Some Sama lever espresso machine also used the 49mm baskets.

Many other domestic espresso machine used 49mm baskets. If you are unsure just measure the inner diameter of your filter basket before ordering.
